Online Career Inventories
Strong Interest Inventory
The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) is used by more than 70% of U.S. colleges and universities and is the world’s most widely respected and frequently used tools for education and career planning. It is easy to complete and is backed by unparalleled reliability and validity. The SII personalized report is designed specifically for college students and suggest majors, careers, student groups and classes that are a good match for your areas of interests, preferences and personal style. Contact the Center for Major Exploration, firstname.lastname@example.org, to find out how to take the SII. An appointment with a Major/Career Coach is required to receive your SII report.
FOCUS-2 is an online, career and planning system that uses self-assessment to combine your interests, personality, values and skills and career/education planning into one program. The results match your interests and personalized Holland Codes to majors here at the University of Oklahoma. You will need your OU 4+4 to log on. Once you have logged on, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will find the FOCUS-2 program under self-assessment. This program is offered through Career Services.
If you have any questions regarding these career assessments, please come by Cate 4, room 383, email the Center for Major Exploration, or call 405.325.1684.
