About Campus Activities Council


The Campus Activities Council (CAC) continues the legacy of excellence at the University of Oklahoma. Founded in 1971, CAC is the programming branch of OU Student Government presenting campus-wide traditions and events for all students. CAC now programs 13 of the most exciting events on campus including Howdy Week, Homecoming, Dad's Day and Sooner Scandals not to mention events that happen year long like Film Series and Concert Series.

The Campus Activities Council consist of 23 General Council members, over 400 committee members, 300 volunteers and the CAC Chairperson elected annually by the student body. CAC is seen by over 75,000 people each year through  events hosted.  CAC has two offices in the Conoco Student Leadership Wing of Oklahoma Memorial Union, located on the first and third floors. Each event is planned entirely by students, from programs to sponsorship to publicity.

The Campus Activities Council is an amazing opportunity to get involved with while at OU. Whether you are an incoming freshmen, a senior who recently transferred to OU, an international student or graduate student, CAC is a great organization to get connected with. Not only will CAC help you meet other great students, faculty and staff at OU, but they will help you in making you the best possible version of yourself. With opportunities to develop professional and social skills, CAC students are well equipped for life after college after participating in CAC in college.
