Past event, see recap
The prices of traditional textbooks continue to increase, driving up the cost of Higher Education. There are a number of options to supplement or replace high cost textbooks such as free online resources and downloadable open-access textbooks.
There are also programs such as iTunes U Courses and iBook Author that can assist in developing pedagogically sound and engaging textbook replacements.
To open the conversation, we will present some options for low cost or free course materials to replace high cost textbooks, provide the faculty more freedom in designing their course content, and providing students a more engaging educational experience.
All Faculty, Students and Staff are welcomed to join Dr. Mark Morvant on Tuesday, November 27th from 5p.m. to 6p.m. in the Physical Sciences Center room 201 to discuss textbook alternatives. Past event, see recap
