TAO is a two-day program designed to learn more about TA responsibilities and prepare for teaching undergraduate students, evaluating and grading work, and assessing course quality.

DITA is a three-day program to help international TAs familiarize with American classroom culture, pedagogy, and university policies. All ITAs who are new to teaching at OU will attend this training, including those who have previously worked as GTAs at other universities in the USA. New ITAS are also required to attend the TAO. This program is offered annually in August. The activities include interactive lectures, group discussions, teaching practice sessions, and lunches.
