This three day module helps workers identify the effects of abuse and neglect on normal development of children from birth through adolescence. This workshop stresses the importance of proper assessment of current developmental abilities, developmental delays, disabilities and emotional problems in order to plan appropriate services for children. Current research on the effects of violence and trauma on the developing brain are outlined.
