This one-day workshop will discuss the process of attachment:  factors contributing to attachment, factors disruptive to attachment and the consequences of breakdown in attachment.  Workers will also learn about the quality of parent-infant attachment such as the strange situation paradigm, classification of attachment and parental behavior and child patterns of attachment.  Other information will include attachment theory and maltreatment, types of disorder attachment and relational care giving.  Dr. Culberson will also give information to help children in your care with disordered attachment
