YOU ARE HERE : HOME / All Workshops / CW 2016 - Overview of the Oklahoma Successful Adulthood Program

This workshop will provide participants with the philosophy and best practice techniques for staff who work with older adolescents in out-of-home placement. Components of the Oklahoma Independent Living Program will be shared and the guiding policies reviewed. Participants will also learn how to access the available resources in order to maximize the short time we have to prepare our youth for self-sufficiency.

CW 2016 is required for all Permanency Planing Specialists.  Please click "Course  Dates" on the right side of the page to see a list of available sessions.

If you have an OKSA eligible youth assigned to you, you will need to enroll in the two day class (12 credit hours).

If you do not have an OKSA eligible youth assigned to you, you will need to take the 1/2 day course (3 credit hours).  The 1/2 day course is restricted in KIDS.  In order to enroll into this 1/2 course, please send a request to childwelfaretraining@okdhs.org specifying what date you'd like to attend.

At this time 1/2 day courses are offered on December 6, 2017 and May 2-3, 2018
