This workshop will address the effects of domestic violence on children.  Research shows that children suffer lasting effects many areas of their lives from domestic violence.  Participants will review CPS policy and learn how to increase the child’s safety in violent homes.  This training also will provide participants tools to ease children’s anxiety in homes where violence occurs.  Various system responses will be discussed and alternatives provided.  The CW worker will also learn how to address battering as a parenting style and require accountability.
