Description

**If you have had CW 1012 Interviewing & Engagment Skills--you will not need this training.**

Becoming a model interviewer requires ongoing knowledge and practice. This two day training establishes the real purpose for a child interview and uses a best model for practice, including the exploration of characteristics of a good interviewer. We take the skills through the four phases of interviewing, delve more into language and cognitive development, and practice building your set of types of questions to use in interviewing children. We review a typed transcript of an actual interview, but due to confidentiality real interviews are not shown. Participants are willing to bring videos for critique practice, but would need to notify training department so proper equipment for viewing is available.
