YOU ARE HERE : HOME / All Workshops / CW 4256 - Making the Transition to Supervisor
Description

Most supervisors are promoted from within the agency. The assumption of agency managers is that if the individual was a good worker, she/he will be an effective supervisor.
The reality of their situation becomes readily apparent and the previously competent and confident worker feels inadequate, confused and overwhelmed. This workshop examines the common experiences/issues of new Supervisors as well as the critical first steps in taking over a group.  Additionally, this workshop will build the knowledge and skills supervisors need to be an effective leader.
