YOU ARE HERE : HOME / All Workshops / CW 4289 - Intergenerational Supervision
Description

In the modern office environment four generations are working side by side each day. The reality is Baby Boomers, Gen-X, Gen-Y and Millennials not only have to learn to work together, but also supervise, and sometime be supervised by, one another. Quality supervision should integrate the importance of the many parallel processes that take place emanating from the supervisory relationship. Supervisors getting a better sense of how inter-generational dynamics impact their relationship with their staff can create a parallel discussion in supervision about how intergenerational issues impact a worker’s relationship with the children and families they serve. This course will explore these parallel processes in depth. Participants are encouraged to bring real life examples from their practice to class for discussion.
