The Darwin 2009 Steering Committee is holding an essay contest in conjunction with the Darwin 09 events at the University of Oklahoma.
Partial funding came from the Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE). For more information click the"Essay Competition" link to the left.

Essay Deadline: Now October 2nd, 2009
Maximum Length: 500 words
Submit essays to:essaycontest@ou.edu
Open to all college students in the state of Oklahoma 

Prizes include:

•Books provided by the Oklahoma University Press and Chicago University
•$750.00 of cash prizes from Phi Kappa Phi
•Invitations to tour the History of Science Collection at OU and to be
photographed holding a first edition copy of the Origin of Species
