Team Won Biography

Army Sgt. 1st Class Anthony Reed has been a military public affairs practictioner for more than nine years. He is currently a journalism instructor at the Defense Information School at Fort Meade Md.

Navy Petty Officer First Class Jane Surmi is currently the Command Career Counselor for Fleet Imaging Command Pacific, San Diego, Calif. She served in military public affairs for 11 years in such areas as media relations, newspaper editing, radio and community relations.

Marine Staff Sgt. Al Eskalis has been a practitioner within all aspects of public affairs for 10 years. He has served as internal information chief, broadcast manager, media chief, and community relations chief. SSgt. Eskalis is currently an instructor at the Defense Information School in Fort Meade, Md.

Marine Staff Sgt. Kyle Olson joined the Marine Corps in 1989 and has been in Public Affairs the whole time. He has served in broadcast journalism in the Phillippines and as a print journalist in San Diego. He is now the Public Affairs Chief at Marine Coprs Public Affairs, New York City.

T'Jae Gibson is Chief, Air Force Training Program at the Pentagon. Her professional experience covers the gamut of public affairs--television and radio anchoring, newspaper editor and media relation deputy. She joined the Air Force as a civilian as part of the Outstanding Scholar Program.
