Academic Interests: organizational communication, health communication, and risk communication.
Author/Editor of fourteen books including "The Handbook of Cancer Care and Communication" (Hampton Press, 2007) and "Communication and Terrorism" (Praeger, 2005). His articles have appeared in many journals such as Communication Monographs. Dr. O'Hair is a former editor, Journal of Applied Communication Research and the current former Vice President of the National Communication Association.
