Social Organizations

Opportunities
With over 300 student organizations, several diversity groups, and countless leadership and volunteer opportunities, OU has something for everyone. OU students are encouraged to be a part of their community by participating in activities outside of the classroom. Visit the OU Student Life site.
Recreation
Students looking for active ways to spend their free time can participate in intramural or club sports. You can sign up to play flag football, basketball, volleyball, ping pong, water polo, ultimate Frisbee and much more. OU club teams include hockey, sailing, rowing, polo and lacrosse. Students can also enjoy a round of golf at the Jimmy Austin OU Golf Club - which features 18 holes, a driving range, and a clubhouse restaurant.

Campus Activities Council (CAC)
CAC provides several ways for students to get involved. They organize 16 of the most exciting events on campus including Big Red Rally, Homecoming, Parent's Weekend and Sooner Scandals. Visit the OU Campus Activities Council site.
Union Programming Board (UPB)
The UPB is a student-run organization dedicated to providing diverse programs in the Oklahoma Memorial Union for the OU community. Student Media
Students have several outlets and opportunities for experience in journalism, radio, Web and TV. The Oklahoma Daily is an award-winning student newspaper. Students can also DJ on The Wire or be a part of TV4OU - a student produced statewide newscast. Visit the Student Media site.
