Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art

Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art is one of the finest university art museums in the United States.  It is open to the public and free to OU students.  Its 12,300 object permanent collection is an exciting compilation of works by the Old Masters, among them Van Gogh, Renoir and Monet, to contemporary and Native American art.  Visiting exhibitions throughout the year explore the art of various periods and cultures.

Named in memory of Fred Jones Jr., University of Oklahoma student and aviator, who died tragically in the crash of the plane he was piloting.  His parents, Oklahoma City business and civic pioneers, Mr. & Mrs. Fred Jones, chose to honor their son by donating funds that would enhance the cultural life of the University of Oklahoma.
