      Gaylord Hall

Gaylord Hall is home to OU’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication.  You can’t miss its signature news “ticker” from almost anywhere on the South Oval.  The Gaylord College encompasses the majors of journalism, broadcasting and electronic media, advertising, professional writing and public relations, and is one of the fastest- growing colleges at the University of Oklahoma.

The final phase of Gaylord Hall opens fall 2009. The new wing brings the total square footage of Gaylord Hall to more than 100,000-square-feet of high-tech classroom, presentation, studio and computer lab space. Gaylord Hall now includes four computer classrooms, two complete digital broadcast studios, 10 video editing bays, classrooms and two state-of-the-art open multimedia labs. The building is also home to faculty and staff offices, the Edith Kinney Gaylord Library, the 185-seat Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation auditorium and the student-run AD/PR agency.
