      Campus- Jacobson Hall, Visitors Center

      Jacobson Hall, Visitors Center

Jacobson Hall is home to the OU Visitor Center, the “Front Door to the University.”  As the jumping off point for campus tours, it also houses departments devoted to prospective students, their parents and all campus visitors.  If you’re new and don’t know where to ask your questions…try here first!

Built in 1919 as the New Library, Jacobson Hall was later remodeled to become the School of Art, and then, in 1936, housed the first Art Museum at The University of Oklahoma. The building was ultimately renamed for Oscar Jacobson, first director of both the Art School and Museum.
