In the summer of 2002, nine South Asian women came together in hopes of bringing Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. to the University of Oklahoma. On September 14, 2002 these hopes became a reality.

Although the process was challenging and even frustrating at times, it gives us great pleasure to finally say that we are a part of this great sisterhood. The relationships we have formed and will continue to form hold a special place in our hearts. We have been warmly welcomed to the Delta Phi Omega family and to the Greek community at OU. We thank you all for your support, and we promise to uphold the five pillars set by our national founders.

The sisters of Delta Phi Omega at the University of Oklahoma would like to thank the 17 national founders, "[Who] dreamt, [Who] saw, [Who] conquered."
