Welcome to the Dynamic Structures Sensing and Control (DySSC) Center. DySSC is a multidisciplinary center that aims to protect our nation's infrastructure by increasing the life of highway bridges. Faculty and students from civil, mechanical, and electrical and computer engineering work together to develop, implement, and test semiactive control algorithms in innovative deployment schemes to achieve this overarching task. Several research facilities are associated with DySSC: the Vehicle Vibration Test Laboratory, the Walnut Creek Bridge Test Site, and the Easily Deployable Bridge Monitoring System.
