Literacy Coordinator: Sara Ann (Sally) Beach 

Sally, is an associate professor of literacy education at the University of Oklahoma and a former primary grade teacher and reading specialist.  She teaches classes in  literacy development and studies how children become readers and writers in early childhood classrooms. 

Literacy Instructor: Meryl Wassner 

Meryl serves as the Language and Literacy instructor for the participants in all six cohorts.  Her educational background and experience includes a Bachelors degree in literature and literacy and extensive experience in adult instruction, curriculum and staff development.  She recently authored a chapter for an A.R.E. publication “Enriching Instruction with Storytelling”.
