Students Take Part in Science Night
Assistant Professor Kelly Feille's EDSC 4193 Science Teaching - Elementary School students class took part in Science Night at Reagan Elementary. This is an annual outing for the class as they share their knowledge with students, while also working on their classroom teaching skills.
"When JRCOE elementary education majors have a chance to facilitate our Family Science Night, they get the opportunity to interact with students of all ages (and their parents)," Feille said. "Students practice leading authentic science experiences and scaffolding student learning with probing questions. These opportunities help to break down the fear of teaching science and allows OU students to find the joy of science teaching and learning."
