Oklahoma Writing Project brings together experienced teachers to attend our annual summer institute held in Norman. Together, these teachers prepare for leadership roles by demonstrating their most effective practices, studying research, and improving their knowledge of writing by writing themselves. Participants will present a demonstration of their best practices as a culminating project that includes student work samples. Housing scholarships are available for teachers living outside a 50-mile radius of Norman.
The 2018 summer institute will be June 4-22 in Norman. Apply by February 16. Interviews will be held on March 10. Orientation is on April 7 and 28. More information and the application are now available.
