Educational Researcher (ER) is published nine times per year and is received by all members of AERA. The purpose of the Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics (JEBS) is to provide an outlet for papers demonstrating, preferably through concrete example, how the educational statistician can contribute to sound, productive, and creative educational decision-making and practice. The goal of authors seeking to publish in JEBS should be to communicate to readers why, when and how a statistical method should be used. Review of Educational Research (RER) publishes critical, integrative reviews of research literature bearing on education. Such reviews should include conceptualizations, interpretations, and syntheses of literature and scholarly work in a field. RER encourages the submission of research relevant to education from any discipline, such as reviews of research in psychology, sociology, history, philosophy, political science, economics, computer science, statistics, anthropology, and biology, provided that the review bears on educational issues.

Review of Research in Education (RRE) is a periodical volume that provides an overview and analysis of selected areas of relevant research through critical and synthesizing essays. The editor of RRE, in close consultation with its editorial board, plays a critical role in reviewing and defining the current state of knowledge in the field. In addition to book reviews, Educational Studies now includes academic papers, media reviews, essay reviews (of 3 or more books) and poetry. The editors invite AESA members and other interested scholars to submit articles dealing with issues and questions from within the broad interdisciplinary field of educational foundations, issues of discipline-based or interdisciplinary research methodologies, or significant research findings within the foundations fields. Publication will be determined by juried review.

FEMINIST TEACHER

Since 1984, Feminist Teacher has been at the forefront of discussions about how to fight sexism, racism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression in our classrooms and in the institutions in which we work. A peer-reviewed journal, Feminist Teacher provides a forum for interrogations of cultural assumptions and discussions of such topics as multiculturalism, interdisciplinary, and distance education within a feminist context. Feminist Teacher serves as a medium in which educators can describe strategies that have worked in their classrooms, institutions, or non-traditional settings; theorize about successes or failures; discuss the current place of feminist pedagogies and teachers in classrooms and institutions; and reveal the rich variety of feminist pedagogical approaches. The journal also remains committed to addressing issues that face educators today, including anti-feminism, anti-academic backlash, and sexual harassment.

Education and Culture, published twice yearly by Purdue University Press, takes an integrated view of philosophical, historical, and sociological issues in education. Submissions of Dewey scholarship, as well as work inspired by Dewey's many interests, are welcome. JDS members receive the journal as part of their membership in the society.

The journal publishes critical essays, research studies, essay and book reviews, and “rejoinder” essays. Recommended lengths vary for critical essays, research studies, or essay reviews (7500 words); book reviews (1000-2000 words); and commentaries or rejoinders to published pieces (800 words). Alternative or imaginative submissions, such as poetry, creative nonfiction, and narrative, will be considered; please consult the editor prior to submission.
