The purpose of the master's program in English Education is to
advance
student understanding of Middle/Secondary English teaching,
content, and research.
Core (11 hrs minimum)

Research Synthesis (0-3 hrs)
Concentration (21 hours minimum)
Students in English
Education
must complete at leaset 21 credit hours in the English
Education Concentration which includes the
specialization (9 hours minimum) and approved
electives (12 hours minimum).

human relations, anthropology,
philosophy, psychology, sociology, and teaching as approved by the
student's
advisor and committee.
Content Areas
In consultation with the advisor and committee, the student may select
course work
from various areas of English and other related content areas.
