Find Your Future Summer Education Camp

   

2024 Find Your Future Summer Education Camp

May 29-June 1, 2024

The Find Your Future Summer Education Camp, hosted by the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education at the University of Oklahoma recruits high school students from underserved populations interested in becoming educators to address the critical shortage of educators in Oklahoma and across the country. Participants are engaged in various experiences, reflect on their own educational experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with others in their schools and in society. Open to all, regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status, the program is offered free of charge.

This program is offered at no cost to participants.

 

 

 

ARE YOU:

  • A student from underserved populations who are currently enrolled in high school (preference given to students who will be juniors or seniors)?
  • A student interested in exploring the possibility of a career in education who is academically motivated with plans to attend college after graduation (no minimum GPA requirement)?

Then the Find Your Future Summer Education Camp may be right for you!
Find Your Future is open to anyone desiring to participate, regardless of race, gender or socioeconomic class.

PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:

  • Opportunities to learn from speakers and panelists
  • Opportunities to engage in collaborative learning activities
  • Information about careers in education
  • Information about applying to and paying for college
  • Information about scholarship opportunities
  • Mentoring from OU faculty and students
  • Ongoing support for success in high school and beyond
  • Invitations to OU events

Have the items listed below ready to upload before completing the application. Also, please inform your parent/guardian AND the two adults writing your letters of recommendation that you are intending to apply for the Find Your Future camp. Once you have submitted your part of the application, they will be contacted for more information.
