Stacy Reeder, Ph.D., teaches courses in both the graduate and undergraduate mathematics education program as well as the Elementary Mathematics Specialist Certification program. She assumed the role of interim dean for the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education in February 2020.
Dr. Reeder is active in several national organizations, including the School Science and Mathematics Association where she recently served a term as president of the association, the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators, the Research Council on Mathematics Learning, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics. Her research agenda centers on mathematics teaching and learning, problem solving, and teacher education. She has authored articles in numerous scholarly journals including, School Science and Mathematics, Investigations in Mathematics Learning, and the Journal of Mathematics Education Leadership.
During her tenure at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Reeder also has served as chair of the Department of Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum and as the program coordinator of the Mathematics Education program. Dr. Reeder is actively involved in numerous and ongoing efforts in the state to ensure teacher quality and to improve education for all children and students.
