Christopher Sadler is an assistant professor in the School of Drama, heading the stage management emphasis and is co-coordinator of recruitment. He holds an MFA in stage management from the University of California San Diego and a BFA in theatre arts management from Ithaca College. Prior to arriving at OU, Chris was Production Manager/Stage Management Instructor at California State University Long Beach. Chris has a successful national freelancing career, having stage managed over seventy productions at regional and summer stock theatres from Maine to California, including the Idaho Shakespeare Festival (seven summers as Production Stage Manager), Great Lakes Theater Festival, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Capital Repertory Theatre, Portland Stage Company, PCPA Theaterfest, and the La Jolla Playhouse, among others. Chris is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, USITT, and the Stage Managers’ Association.
