Faculty Advisors advise students into their courses each semester during each school's advising day. Students will receive an email notifying them of their advising day with detailed instructions.

  • Major or Degree Change Within the Same College
Students wishing to change their major or degree within the College of Fine Arts must go to the Fine Arts Dean’s office (Fred Jones Center, Suite 122) and complete the appropriate form.  The student will then be instructed as to whom they should see for advising for the new major/degree.

  • Change of College
Students wishing to change colleges should go to the prospective college advising office and complete a Change of College request form.  Once accepted into the new college, the form will then be sent (or the student may take it) to their previous college advising office.  If the student is accepted, their remaining records will be requested by the new college and the major changed.

  • Minors
Students wishing to declare a minor must go to the advising office of the college in which the minor exist and complete the appropriate form.  The college in which the minor exists enters the minor into the student record system.  The Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts offers minors in Art, Art History, Arts Management and Entrepreneurship, Dance History, Theatre, Music, and Instrumental Jazz.

Please contact your advisor to schedule a meeting.

Students needing to complete an Academic Performance Contract should schedule an appointment with Ms. Nunley by calling (405) 325-7370 or online at iadvise.ou.edu.

Graduation Check appointments may be scheduled with Elizabeth Nunley, Shuang Liang, or Carmen Marcom online at iadvise.ou.edu.

Media Resource Center

The Media Resource Center (MRC), a service of the Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts, is a working library of time-based (non-book) materials: CDs, videos, digital audio tapes (DATs) and regular cassette tapes, digital video discs (DVDs) and long-playing records (LPs). These are available to anyone who wishes to use them in the Ruby Grant Fine Arts Library. Faculty, staff and graduate students (but not undergraduates) may also borrow items for short periods.

Location:

The MRC is the enclosed unit within the Fine Arts Library on the lower level of the Catlett Music Center, located at the corner of Boyd and Elm on the Norman Campus of OU. Once through the Fine Arts Library doors, follow the signs to the MRC (turning right, past the main library counter).

Learn more about the Fine Arts Library and MCR. If you are traveling any distance to use the MRC, it is best to call (405) 325-6492 first to make sure the center is open.
