Professional Experience Opportunities
During the school year it is difficult to have full-fledged employment and maintain the responsibilities of the stage management program. If you find yourself in the position of a possible outside engagement during the semester you are first required to file a request approval form with the stage management faculty, the Coordinator of the Design/Tech Area and the Director of the SOD. A professional engagement should in no way interfere with your obligation to the School of Drama. (See Section II.A.5. Outside Activity Form.) You are encouraged to find professional work and/or internships during breaks and over the summer. The faculty will work to assist you in finding such work that is appropriate to your abilities. Exceptional students can request recommendations from the faculty to a variety of companies and individuals with which they have contacts.
