Transfer Credit in Applied Music

Transfer credit in applied music for undergraduates will be validated by an examination when such credit is to be applied to a degree offered by the School of Music.  Transfer students whose applied music advancement is below the junior level and who expect to continue study must enroll in Applied Music 2010 or 2020.  They will be examined at the end of the semester for placement in a course sequence and for validation of transfer credit.  Students wishing to validate all other transfer credit in music should arrange appointments with their faculty advisor and appropriate faculty in the area of study for content evaluation.  Questions pertaining to general education course transfer work should be directed to the advisors in the Fine Arts Dean’s office.  Transfer credit in the major applied instrument/voice is not permitted at the graduate level.
