Art After Hours
Unwind after work and get acquainted with other art enthusiasts at these 45-minute talks featuring works from the museum's permanent collection. Held twice each month in the Dee Dee and John Stuart Classroom on the museum's lower level.
FredFilms
This winter, the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art will inaugurate FredFilms, in
which certain themes will be explored over the course of a semester through
weekly films screened Thursday nights in the Mary Eddy and Fred Jones
Auditorium on the museum's lower level. All screenings begin at 7 p.m. and
are intended for mature audiences. Beginning January 26, 2006 - French
Connections: American Film Noir and French Cinema.
The museum hosts lectures and other events, which relate to the collection and the exhibition schedule. Recent guests include art historians Dr. Richard Brettell and Dr. Creighton Gilbert.
