January 11 — 18

The experiments of tins internationally famous artist have contributed to the progress in many fields of art. Oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, poster designs and three-dimensional projects have been arranged in chronological sequence in order to show the interacting influences between pure art and design for function. Mr. Bayer’s inborn instinct for unifying language created his dynamic visual dialect. He has been design consultant for the Douglas Aircraft Company, the Container Corporation of America and for the Aspen Development in Architecture and Advertising. A former student and later teacher at the Bauhaus, Mr. Bayer now resides in Aspen, Colorado.
