Outstanding graduates of the School of Art of the University of Oklahoma are often invited to have one-man shows at the Museum of Art. Alfred Smith came to the University of Oklahoma from Ponca City and received the MFA degree in painting in 1957. He has exhibited his work in local, state and regional exhibitions, and is director of the Army Arts and Crafts Program at Fort Still, Lawton, Oklahoma.
