Lithographs from the Soviet Union
September 1 – 13
Fifty original lithographs by twenty-five Soviet artists from the Leningrad Experimental Graphics Laboratory form the exhibition. The works were assembled by the Grosvenor Gallery, London, and are being circulated by the Associated American Artists Gallery, New York. The exhibition is the first presentation of unregimented Soviet art to be seen in the United States. After opening in London and New York, the show was exhibited at Cornell University and the University of Maine. An exhibit of photographs of art activities in the Soviet Union will be presented in conjunction with the exhibition of lithographs.
