Joseph Taylor and Andy Argyropoulos—Recent Works

Joseph Taylor, the oldest faculty member and currently Acting Director of the School of Art, and Andy Argyropoulos, the youngest art instructor, present recent sculpture, painting and graphics. Taylor came to the School of Art faculty in 1932 from the University of Washington where he received an MFA degree in sculpture. In his thirty years of residence in Oklahoma he has gained recognition for his architectural sculpture, portraits and memorial commissions. Argyropoulos was born in Athens, Greece, and graduated from Athens College. He came to Oklahoma from the University of Michigan where he received an MFA in 1961 after printmaking studies with Emil Weddige. Both artists have exhibited in regional and national exhibitions.
