Anthony Montoya and Larry Ferguson—Recent Photographs
October 13 – November 10
Two artist photographers based in Nebraska, each with his own unique vision, will exhibit photographs from a new series that each has been pursuing in the las year. Larry Ferguson has selected twenty prints from his Mexico expedition. They document the life and surroundings of the people, sometimes wryly commenting on cultural intrusions from the United States.
Anthony Montoya has also selected twenty photographs from his newest series Peripheries. The series deals with rural landscapes at the fringes of expanding metropolitan areas of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska and the both aesthetic and environmental discontinuity that her perceives. This exhibition has been made possible through the Fred Jones Jr. Memorial Endowment Fund.
