98th Annual Student Exhibition
98th Annual School of Art & Art History Student Exhibition
The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art Board of Visitors, the Museum of Art Association, Ghislain d’Humieres, and the OU School of Art & Art History invite you to the 98th Annual School of Art & Art History Student Exhibition. The exhibition will take place in the Nancy Johnston Records Gallery at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. The opening reception will be Friday, January 20, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm with an awards ceremony at 8 pm.
Important Dates for Students to Remember:
Monday, December 12
Students drop off submissions, applications and artist statements to the Lightwell Gallery between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Tuesday, December 13
The exhibition will be selected by a juror chosen by and individual selected by the SOA&AH. A list of selected work will be posted at art.ou.edu and in the FJC lobby by late afternoon.
Wednesday, December 14
All work not selected must be picked up between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those not picked up will be left outside the Lightwell Gallery. The FJJMA and the SOA&AH are not responsible for this work after this point.
Tuesday, January 17
Exhibition gallery opens to the public.
Friday, January 20
Opening reception, 7-9 p.m. Awards announced at 8 p.m.
Sunday, February 12
Show closes. Pick up artwork on Monday February 13. If your work is chosen for the show you will be notified by email with more details about collecting work upon the closing of the exhibit.
