New iPod tours, which are available for use in the galleries free of charge, have been produced through a grant from the Albert and Ethel Herzstein Foundation of Houston, Texas.  A businessman, entrepreneur and, ultimately, a philanthropist, Albert Herzstein dedicated his later years to the charitable foundation that bears his name and that of his equally generous wife, Ethel.

To rent, simply leave a valid driver's license and major credit card at the front desk.

The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art's first audio tour utilizing iPod Touch technology explores how artists have used paint in innovative ways. The tour focuses on two parts of the museum's permanent collection:  the Weitzenhoffer galleries of French Impressionism and the Hobson Family Gallery of contemporary art.
