Course Development

Overview

We offer funding for OU faculty to develop new courses and redesign existing courses, in a variety of disciplines, on virtue and flourishing. We encourage a creative approach to the structure and content of these courses.

As part of this program, faculty attend an Assessment Workshop for assistance on crafting a comprehensive assessment plan integrated with the OU virtues selected for the course. Upon completion of the course, instructors are asked to share their assessment data through an online portal, so that we can track the effectiveness of our funded courses.

The Institute announced its fourth Call for Course Proposals on February 6, 2017. The submission deadline was April 1, 2017. Courses funded under this call should be taught in Spring 2018. All proposals must include a completed Course Proposal Form, which can be downloaded below.
