Yoshiko Fukushima
Yoshiko Fukushima is an Assistant Professor of Japanese in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Linguistics. Her teaching and research interest includes theater of Japan and Asian countries and Japanese literature, film and culture. She completed her B.A. in English Literature at University of Sacred Heart, Tokyo; her M.A. in English Drama at Waseda University, Tokyo; her Ed.M. in Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University; and her Ph.D. in Performance Studies at New York University in 2000. Before coming to Oklahoma, she taught Japanese language and culture at Gettysburg College, New York University, Eugene Lang College of the New School for Social Research, and Columbia University. She is the author of Manga Discourse in Japanese Theater: The Location of Noda Hideki (London: Kegan Paul 2003).
