Randolph Lewis (Ph.D., University of Texas-Austin), associate professor in the OU Honors College. Lewis is the acting director of FVS for fall 2004. He is the author of two books on documentary film: Emile de Antonio: Radical Filmmaker in Cold War America (Wisconsin, 2000) and Other Visions: The Cinema of Alanis Obomsawin (Nebraska, forthcoming). The latter is the first book devoted to a Native American filmmaker. He also has begun working in the realm of video production: his 52-minute documentary Muleskinner Blues traces the life of his East Texas grandfather in the 1930s, while his most recent experimental film appeared at the Independent Artists of Oklahoma Gallery, located in Oklahoma City, in May 2004.
