Transfer Students

The Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication welcomes students from other higher education institutions.

Students transferring from another institution should consult this link: transfer students.

All applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 for admission into Gaylord College

Transfer students who have attempted less than 24 semester hours must also meet performance requirements for first time entering freshman. See freshman requirements.


Application Deadlines


The university encourages you to submit your application for admission as soon as possible to maximize opportunities for housing, scholarships and financial aid. Applications for admission must be RECEIVED in the Office of Admissions by the dates below. A $40 non-refundable application fee is required of all domestic students.


April 1 – Fall Semester or summer session
November 1 – Spring Semester
