Each year the Gaylord College awards approximately $150,000 in scholarships exclusively to journalism and mass communication majors. More than $20,000 is reserved for incoming freshmen demonstrating academic and journalistic promise. Recipients of freshman scholarships usually participate in a scholars class enrichment program. Transfer students are eligible for all upperclassmen scholarships.
