The Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication Macintoshcomputer labs are available to all students enrolled in JMC courses. The labs are open between 70 and 85 hours each week.

A wide variety of software is available to support student projects in all JMC majors including:

• Adobe Creative Suite 4 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Professional,
  Dreamweaver, and Flash)
• Apple Final Cut Studio 2 (Final Cut Pro HD, Soundtrack Pro, Color, Cinema Tools, DVD Studio Pro, Motion and Compressor)
  
• Apple iLife (iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, iWeb)
• Avid Media Composer
• Final Draft
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Roxio Toast/Easy CD Creator
• SPSS (Statistical analysis program)

In addition to the multimedia lab, students may check out laptop computers to work in the Edith Kinney Gaylord Library.

PaceSetteris the Gaylord College gateway to video tutorials for the primarysoftware packages needed for student projects including AdobePhotoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Flash. Tutorials for video editingare available for Final Cut Pro.

Videos are available fromany computer with Internet access and can be used at home or in the labon your terms. More tutorials will be available in the future.Headphones must be used when using the tutorials in the lab.
