Background

Maureen Taylor is the Gaylord Family Chair of Strategic Communication at the Gaylord College. Taylor currently teaches public relations at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as introduction to graduate study. Prior to coming to the University of Oklahoma, Taylor taught public relations and communication at Western Michigan University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Purdue University. Taylor also spent eight years teaching at Rutgers University.

Taylor's public relations research has focused on nation building and civil society, dialogue, the use of the World Wide Web and new technologies, and issues management. Her research has taken her to Bosnia, Kosovo, Jordan, Malyasia, and Taiwan.
