Background

Dr. Namkee Park is an assistant professor at the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. His academic interests lie in new media technologies and their social and psychological implications, with both macro and micro approaches. On the macro level, with a focus on media economics and policy, he has examined how new media technologies have changed the structures of and competition between media industries, as well as how policy has facilitated or deterred such changes. Further, Dr. Park is interested in the area of computer-mediated communication on the micro level, especially the psychological aspects in the use of new media technologies.
