Student story picked up by the New York Times

Bachelor's Degree More Common, Less Enabling, by Monica Albert

Posted November 30, 2007

Gaylord College journalism major, Monica Albert, had her story about the value of a bachelor's degree picked up by the New York Times. The story was originally published in the Oklahoma Daily campus newspaper  and distributed on U-Wire, a news aggregator and distributor for student-generated content. Albert is one of the Gaylord College's Ambassdors for 2007-2008.

"In a competitive job market, a college degree is widely believed to be invaluable.

New challenges like the oversaturation of degrees, rising tuition and the demand for graduate degrees have students and experts wondering what kind of job security a degree actually offers."
