OU Nightly made its Spanish-language debut Tuesday night on KTUZ-TV/Telemundo in Oklahoma City. Journalism senior Haley Hernandez was the first anchor of the specially-produced campus news briefs for the Telemundo-T30 10 o'clock newscast. OU Nightly has amassed a team of four anchors and producers with superior Spanish skills and drafted four faculty members from the Department of Modern Languages as advisors for the twice-weekly campus news reports seen across Oklahoma City and central-Oklahoma (COX Cable channel 5). Upon seeing the very first OU Nightly campus news brief for his newscast, T30 News Director Carlos Toledo said, "I want these four nights a week!" Watch the Thursday night Telemundo newscast to see journalism senior Julie Musgrave deliver the second edition of the OU Nightly news briefs, Spanish edition!
