Baxter Holmes

Holmes is a junior from Tuskahoma, Okla., majoring in journalism. He is currently working at The Oklahoma Daily where he has been a reporter, copy editor and is now Sports Editor for the Fall 2007 semester.

Holmes has had reporting internships at The Argus-Leader in Sioux Falls, S.D., and as The Salt Lake Tribune and will spend the summer of 2008 interning at the Boston Globe. Holmes has been a member of the Dean’s Honor roll both years at OU and is a McMahon Scholar.

After graduation, Holmes plans to become a full-time reporter for a major metropolitan newspaper, hopefully, The New York Times.
